Dear Pippen Community,
Thank you for your continued partnership and feedback.
Last week, we released Pippen’s new model with major improvements in reasoning, referrals, clinical insights, and form completion. We’re encouraged by the progress, and we’ve also heard an important piece of feedback: in some cases, notes are now too concise and may miss details that matter.
We’ve now implemented a fix, and your notes are back to being the comprehensive Pippen notes that capture the full encounter—just like the notes you know and love, and that work with the templates you’ve already built.
Thank you for being patient with us as we continue to build a platform that produces the best documentation for primary care.
We’re also excited to announce that we’ll soon be releasing a World-Class Template Library, with ready-to-use templates automatically available in your account.
As a reminder, the default SOAP note won’t be perfect for every clinician, which is why customization matters. Our goal is to help you get notes that match your style and require as little editing as possible. Here is an example of how you can use Documentation Preferences to automatically generate notes in your preferred style:
- Go to Customizations.
- Scroll Down to Documentation Preferences and enter the text below.
- Click Save.
To make more concise notes:
Note Length and Clarity Directive:
Keep the note concise and clinically focused.
Use bullet points or short sentences only.
Apply semantic compression: convey full clinical meaning with fewer words.
Omit repetition, filler, and explanatory language not part of the transcript.
Do not exceed 5–10 bullet points or 1–2 short paragraphs per section.
If multiple issues are discussed, limit each to 3–5 concise points.
In cases with minimal or repetitive content, summarize only what is most relevant and unique.
The goal is a clear, high-yield note that’s fast to read and clinically actionable.
Thank you for being our partner as we continue to build Pippen for you!
Warmly,
AJ and Mary
