Dear Pippen Community,
Pippen’s new AI model now includes stronger reasoning capabilities! It understands context better and as a result produces more accurate, consistent notes. Here are 10 ways you’ll see the difference:
1. Automatic multi-patient notes – Pippen now generates separate notes when multiple patients are present in the encounter (e.g., parent and child).
2. More concise documentation – Notes are shorter and clearer, without unnecessary explanatory paragraphs.
3. Reduced hallucinations – If something isn’t mentioned in the transcript, it won’t appear in the note.
4. Clearer SOAP structure – Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan are more clearly distinguished. The Objective section focuses only on vitals, exam findings, and investigations, with less duplication across sections.
5. More action-oriented plans – The Assessment captures clinician reasoning (e.g., differentials) when stated, without long explanations. The Plan focuses on clear actions like prescribe, refer, and arrange follow-up.
6. More consistent formatting – Sections and subsections are bolded, with standardized bullet points for cleaner, more readable notes.
7. More focused referral letters – Referrals now begin with the chief reason for referral, followed by only the most pertinent clinical details (e.g., key investigations and treatments tried).
8. Differential diagnosis with built-in reasoning – Differential suggestions now include concise rationale for and against each diagnosis, highlighting supporting findings and missing information.
9. Treatment options with built-in next steps – Suggested treatments now include recommended investigations, follow-up, and key safety considerations (e.g., red flags and monitoring).
10. Improved Chat with Pippen – Enhanced medical knowledge and stronger reasoning enable clearer summaries, action plans, and better handling of complex clinical requests.
These improvements in reasoning and accuracy are now built across Pippen’s core features, including Differential Diagnosis, Treatment Options, Templates, and Chat with Pippen—along with significantly improved document upload capabilities.
