Welcome to Pippen, your AI-powered physician assistant. In our Mini How-To Series, we will be going through how to use Pippen’s features to address the entire family medicine workflow beyond its scribing capabilities. Today, we will cover how to use Pippen to find relevant billing and diagnostic codes!

Our guide will be using the “Begin with Text” feature. When you enter Pippen’s platform, you will be presented with the option to “Begin with Text” or “Begin with Audio”. To type your own encounter details, click “Begin with Text”!

Now that you have clicked “Begin with Text”, you can jot down quick details about the encounter for which you would like some billing and diagnostic code suggestions in the ‘Chat with Pippen’ text box.

To find relevant billing and diagnostic codes, click the “Billing and Diagnostic Codes” button on the right (no need to click the ↑ first). Pippen will generate billing and diagnostic codes based on the contents of your encounter. This feature is especially helpful for acuity modifier payments and ensuring optimal remuneration!

To end the encounter, click the “End Encounter” button in the top right.

And there you have it! A way to easily get billing codes from Pippen. Trying to remember codes, using irrelevant or non-specific codes, or consulting a piece of paper with billing codes is a thing of the past! This feature can help you get renumerated fairly- who doesn’t want that?
